Last-lap pass lifts Joe Godsey at Legit Speedway Park
Continuing his recent hot streak, Joe Godsey raced to his fourth win of 2021 on Saturday night in his Homes by Roth No. 14G Waco Title/ Ridout Lumber Company/ Kimbel Services/ MB Customs / Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model.
The Indiana native’s latest conquest came at Missouri’s Legit Speedway Park
“I can’t thank everyone enough that supports us on this journey. I’m truly blessed. Our whole team has worked so hard over the past several years, and to be regularly visiting Victory Lane is something special to us. Great friends and good times,” Godsey said. “Jeff (Roth) had a great run going as well and was in the Top 5 before having a right rear tire go down. We’re having an absolute blast right now and can’t thank everyone enough, who is making this all possible”
Saturday found Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey in action at Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Mo.). In a field of 16 Late Models, Godsey secured his spot into the main event with a heat race victory, while Roth finished second behind Kaleb Stolba.
Executing a last-lap pass for the win over polesitter Robby Moore, Joe recorded his fourth win of the season. Moore, Kaleb Stolba, Kaeden Cornell, and Steve Stultz completed the Top-5 finishers.
Meanwhile, Jeff was running in the Top 5 before suffering a flat tire late in the 20-lapper that dropped him a 10th-place finish.
