Roth Motorsports visits Brownstown for Bobby Wilson Memorial
Roth Motorsports kicked off the Memorial Day weekend on Saturday afternoon at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) with both Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey in action for the Bobby Wilson Memorial.
After topping the 19-car field in time trials, Godsey secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat while Jeff finished sixth. Jeff recorded a 16th-place finish in the 30-lapper while Joe crossed the line in seventh.
On Sunday, Godsey trekked to Spoon River Speedway (Banner, Ill.) for the MARS Racing Series-sanctioned Gary Cook Jr. Memorial. With a second-place finish in his heat race placing him on the third row for the $5,064-to-win A-Main, Joe broke while running in third that forced him pitside on lap 15.
