With both drivers qualifying for the feature, Joe Godsey dropped one spot to finish eighth while Jeff Roth improved two spots to finish 20th.
After DIRTcar officials pulled Wednesday’s visit at Benton Speedway (Benton, Mo.) from the slate, the team headed to Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, Ill.) on Thursday for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Joe followed up a fourth-place finish in his heat with a 12th-to-ninth run in the 40-lap feature. Jeff raced forward five spots in the 50-lap affair to finish 17th after taking a series provisional.
On Friday at Paducah International Raceway (Paducah, Ky.), both drivers secured their spot into the feature via heat action. With $10,000 on the line, Godsey missed a Top-10 finish by one car with an 11th-place outing while Roth was credited with a 20th-place finish after retiring early.
Both Jeff and Joe were battling for a Top-10 finish in Saturday’s feature at Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tenn.) with Godsey placing seventh and Roth finishing 11th when the checkered flag flew.
The weekend drew to a close on Sunday with a visit to Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Ill.) for the $5,000-to-win program. Joe scored a 10th-place finish in the 40-lapper while Jeff scratched from the finale.
