June 8, 2019 - Roth Motorsports Attends Dirt Late Model Dream; Driskill Places 4th at Springfield
On Thursday evening both Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey headed to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 25th annual Dirt Late Model Dream. In a stout field of 92 Super Late Models, Jeff came in 10th in his heat while Joe came in 9th. Needing a 2nd place finish or better in their B-Main to make a preliminary feature, Roth fell short with a 13th place outing and Godsey placed 11th.

The following night for another round of preliminary features, Roth followed up an 11th place finish in his heat with a 10th place finish in his consolation event. Godsey came in 8th in his heat giving him one last shot at the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top 2, Joe fell five spots short with a 7th place finish. For the final night of the 25th annual Dirt Late Model Dream on Saturday, Joe recorded a 12th place finish in his heat and went on to scratch from his B-Main. After getting spun around in his heat on seventh lap, Roth was a scratch from his consolation event.

During the same night, Jon Driskill entered a Malvern Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series sanctioned event at Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Missouri). Reeling in a Top-5 finish in the $1,000-to-win A-Main, Driskill scored 4th place spot behind Brad Looney, Cole Wells, and Ryan Gillmore with Brandon McCormick coming in 5th.

May 26, 2019 - Roth Records Top 10 Finish in Throwback 30 at Atomic Speedway
Thursday night found both Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey in action at Atomic Speedway (Alma, Ohio) for the Throwback 30. In a field of 28 cars, Godsey came in sixth fastest overall in time trials while Roth logged the 15th fastest time. Jeff went on to secure his spot into the show with a 3rd place finish but Joe suffered mechanical issues early in his that only allowed him to compete one lap. With $3,000 on the line in the feature, Jeff Roth reeled in a 9th place finish in the 30-lapper while Joe’s night was over after his heat.

On Saturday evening the Roth Motorsports team returned to action at Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Missouri) with Jon Driskill competing in a field of 33 Malvern Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series entries for the Scrappin’ 40. After falling shy of a transfer spot in his heat, Driskill scored a 3rd place finish in his B-Main which positioned him 19th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Coming one spot shy of a Top-10 finish, Jon passed eight cars to place 11th.

The following night at Midway Speedway (Lebanon, Missouri) for the Tony Roper Memorial, Jon earned the 12th-starting position for the A-Main via preliminary events. Passing six cars in the 30-lap affair, Driskill reeled in a 6th place finish.

May 10, 2019 - Jon Driskill Follows CMSDS to Thunderbird Speedway
On Friday night Jon Driskill was one of 31 Malvern Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series entries signed in at Thunderbird Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) for the $1,000 top prize. Jumping up three spots in his heat, Driskill posted a runner-up finish behind Brandon Cheek locking him into the 8th-starting position for the A-Main. Falling short of a Top-10 finish, Jon dropped four spots in the 30-lapper to place 12th.

Saturday’s CMSDS sanctioned event at Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) fell victim to Mother Nature.

May 4, 2019 - Driskill Bags Top 10 Finish With Malvern Bank Cash Money Series at Legit
Saturday night saw Roth Motorsports and Jeff Driskill invade Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Missouri) for the Malvern Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series sanctioned program. Following a 5th place finish in his heat, Driskill slipped back to a 10th place finish in his B-Main positioning him 20th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Jeff gained 11 spots in the 40-lapper to place 9th.

April 28, 2019 - Joe Godsey Captures First Win of the Season at Monett Motor Speedway

Teammate, Jeff Roth paced the first 16 laps before slipping to a fifth-place finish.

“We’ve been crazy busy ever since we got back from racing in Australia. We’ve been chomping at the bit to get back to action, and Sunday night we were finally able to do just that,” Godsey said. “I bided my time during the first half of the feature and was finally able to get past Jeff [Roth] on lap 16. It was great to be in the driver’s seat again, and to get a win is just the icing on the cake. This win is dedicated to all of the great folks who support Roth Motorsports.”

Roth Motorsports invaded Monett Motor Speedway (Monett, Missouri) on Sunday night for the facilities 49th Season Opener. Jeff Roth started second in the main event and led from the drop of the green flag. His time at the front came to an end on lap 17, when he slipped out of the rubber, which allowed the fifth-starting Joe Godsey to slip past for the lead.

Godsey went on to score the victory over Dustin Mooneyham, Michael Maggard and Kaeden Cornell. Roth slipped to a fifth-place finish in the closing laps.

February 16, 2019 - Roth Motorsports Attends Australian Late Model Championship at Valvoline Raceway
Bentonville, Arkansas (02/21/19) – Bentonville, Arkansas-based Roth Motorsports – with drivers Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey – recently concluded their 2019 Australian Invasion. While the results were not what the team had hope for, they still had a great time.

“As I sit her with my entire team I get to reflect on this year’s trip,” Roth said. “I am extremely grateful for this privilege to be representing team Roth and all our great partners down under. We have had our highs and lows. This sport is so very humbling, yet very satisfying. Joe (Godsey) and I both scored our first podiums in Australia with Joe finishing second at the Motorplex in Perth and me finishing second at Valvoline Speedway in Sydney.

“It’s truly an amazing feeling being part of all this. We were so close to winning the national title that the entire team could taste it. We experienced the highest of highs to the lowest of lows in emotions. The fans across Australia that have voiced their opinions and the support has been amazing. Thank all of you for your support.”

On Friday evening Roth Motorsports kicked off their final weekend of action in Australia with a trip to Valvoline Raceway (Sydney, Australia) as both Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey competed in the two-day Australian Late Model Championship.

In a stout field of 40 cars, Roth followed up a heat-race win in his first heat with a fourth-place finish in his second. Godsey secured his spot into the main event with a pair of fourth-place finishes.

Returning on Saturday night, Jeff recorded a runner-up finish in his heat race, positioning him fourth on the starting grid for the $4,000-to-win finale. Joe started the night with a heat race victory, earning him the 14th-starting position for the feature.

While running in the Top-5 early in the main event, contact from another competitor sent Roth hard into the wall. He was thankfully uninjured, but the damage forced him to retire from the 40-lapper.

Joe Godsey charged from the middle of the pack to begin challenging race-leader John Lodge Jr. for the top spot by lap-20. After swapping back-in-forth for the top spot Godsey ultimately took control. Unfortunately, his night would also soon come to an untimely early end. Contact from Lodge Jr. sent Godsey into a tire barrier, ending his night and eliminating his chances of winning.

“It was gut wrenching to see both of our nights come to an end in such disappointing ways,” Roth recounted. “It’s all part of the game though, I guess. We’ll definitely look forward to coming back next year to pick up with the same speed and momentum.”

February 9, 2019 - Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey Visit Valvoline Raceway for Championship Tune-up
On Saturday evening Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey returned to action at Valvoline Raceway (Sydney, Australia) getting things dialed in for the upcoming 2019 Australian Late Model Championship. After laying down the second fastest time in qualifying behind Matt Smith, Joe streaked to a 10-lap heat race victory locking his spot into the A-Main. Roth followed up the 12th fastest lap in time trials with a 7th place finish in his heat. Both drivers ran into mechanical issues in the feature that prevented them from finishing.

January 19, 2019 - Roth Bags Top 10 Finish in Night Three of Steel City Nationals at Collie Speedway
Friday night saw Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey in action at Collie Speedway (Collie, Western Australia) for the third round of the Di Candilo Steel City Late Model Nationals. With 19 cars on hand, Roth timed in eighth fastest in qualifying before recording a 4th and 2nd place finish in his heats. Coming in 2nd behind Michael Holmes in his Dash, Jeff locked his spot into the A-Main. Godsey followed up a 2nd place finish in his first heat with a 2nd place finish in his second attempt behind Michael Holmes. Before the start of the main event, Roth discovered mechanical issues in his car so he hopped behind wheel of Godsey’s #14G machine. Joe was given a ride in Simon McNab’s secondary car. With both driver’s changing cars before the start of the 40-lap feature, they were forced to surrender their starting spot and were sentenced to the back. The following night at Bunbury Speedway (Bunbury, Western Australia), Roth came in 7th in his first heat but failed to finish in his second attempt. Godsey followed up the fastest time overall in qualifying with an 8-lap heat race victory. He also was an early retiree from his second heat. Both drivers were unable to make the call for the feature after retiring early from their second heat.

January 12, 2019 - Joe Godsey Bags a Pair of Top 5 Finishes in Di Candilo Steel City Nationals
Bentonville, Arkansas-based Roth Motorsports – with drivers Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey – embarked on the first two events of the U.S. Invasion Tour over the weekend at Western Australia’s Perth Motorplex.

Both drivers hit the ground running with fast hot rods. Godsey led the charge as he flirted with Victory Lane in both opening rounds.

“We’ve got probably the best cars we’ve ever had here,” Godsey said. “My car was really good in the opening round at Perth Motorplex, and then we were even better in the second round. My car took off from the drop of the green flag on Saturday night, and we had checked out before a late-race caution. On the restart another driver got into me pretty hard, and I got pinched into the wall. We held on for a Top-5 finish, but it was pretty disappointing, because I had a race-winning car. We’ll move on though to the final two rounds and hopefully grab a win or two.” (Mel Parker photos)

Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey returned to action on Wednesday night at Perth Motorplex (Kwinana Beach, Western Australia) for the opening night of the Di Candilo Steel City Late Model Nationals.

In a field of 28 entries, Roth notched the ninth-fastest lap in qualifying in his Car Busters #14R Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette Super Late Model, before finishing fifth and seventh in his two heat races.

Joe Godsey recorded a new track record in qualifying in his Waco Title #14G Car Busters/ MDR Trans Super Late Model, before recording a runner-up finish and an 8-lap victory in his two heat races.

Reeling in a podium finish in the feature, Godsey landed a runner-up spot behind Billy Moyer with Michael Holmes, Ryan Halliday and Tyler Erb completing the Top-5 finishers. Roth notched a seventh-place finish in the 30-lap affair.

For the second round of the Di Candilo Steel City Late Model Nationals, Joe Godsey secured his spot into the main event with a heat race win and third-place finish in his two attempts. Jeff Roth recorded a fifth and a sixth in his heat race appearances.

Rolling off on the pole, Godsey exchanged the lead with Billy Moyer in the opening laps before jumping out to a comfortable lead by lap-15. Trying to navigate his way through lap-traffic late, Joe received contact from another driver on a late-race restart, which resulted in him making contact with the wall. He limped his entry home to a fourth-place finish behind Tyler Erb, Billy Moyer, and Michael Holmes.

December 26, 2018 - Destroyed Fence Ends Christmas Cup Early at Perth Motorplex
On Saturday night Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey kicked off the trip to Western Australia with the Christmas Cup at Perth Motorplex (Kwinana Beach, Western Australia). With 22 cars on hand for a pair of heat races, Godsey came in 3rd in his first heat but was an early retiree from his second 8-lap heat race. Jeff Roth followed up a 10th place finish in his first heat with a 6th place finish in his second attempt. Shortly after cars lined up for the main event, the catch fence sustained serious damage from another division that ended the night immediately.

It has yet to be determined whether or not the event will be postponed. Details will come in the coming days.

November 26, 2018 - Roth Motorsports Wraps Up 2018 Season; Looks to Kick Off 2019 Season in December in Australia
The 2018 season saw Roth Motorsports drivers; Jeff Roth, Joe Godsey, and Randy Roth compete in a total of 63 events with Mother Nature wiping out 13 of their scheduled dates. The trio collected five Top-10 outings and one Top-5 finish. Jeff and Joe will look to kick off their 2019 season in late December for the Christmas Cup at Perth Motorplex (Kwinana Beach, Western Australia).

November 24, 2018 - Roth Motorsports Ends 2018 Season With Topless Turkey Nationals at Lonestar
Both Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey made the trek to Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) on Saturday night wrapping up the 2018 season with the Topless Turkey Nationals. With 21 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) entries on hand, Roth timed in 15th fastest overall in qualifying while Godsey came in 12th. Passing two cars in his 10-lap heat, Jeff scored a 3rd place finish while Joe dropped one spot to place 5th. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, both drivers were early retirees from the 40-lapper while Jeff recorded a 19th place outing and Joe Godsey logged a 20th place finish.

October 13, 2018 - Roth Motorsports Attends MLRA Finale at Lucas Oil Speedway
After losing Friday’s opener to Mother Nature, both Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey invaded Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) on Saturday night for the Lucas Oil MLRA sanctioned Fall Nationals. In a field of 44 cars, Roth came in 7th in his heat while Godsey logged an 8th place finish. Needing a 3rd place finish or better in their B-Main to make the $5,000-to-win finale, Joe logged a 12th place outing and Jeff placed 10th.

September 29, 2018 - Top 5 Finish in Under the Lights 100 at Springfield Raceway
On Saturday night Joe Godsey was one of 22 Super Late Models signed in at Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Missouri) for the Under the Lights 100 presented by Midwest Sheet Metal and Casey’s General Stores. Reeling in a Top-5 finish in the 100-lap feature, Godsey posted a 4th place spot behind Brad Looney, Justin Wells, and Michael Maggard with Jon Driskill coming in 5th.

September 23, 2018 - Roth Motorsports Attends Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway
On Friday evening both Jeff Roth and Joe Godsey invaded Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) for the 39th annual Jackson 100. Drawing 40 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries for the two-day event, Godsey came in 16th fastest in his group while Roth registered the 18th fastest time.

With Mother Nature postponing Saturday’s program to Sunday afternoon, Jeff recorded a 9th place finish in his heat with Joe coming in one spot better to place 8th. Needing a 3rd place finish or better in their B-Main to make the $20,000-to-win finale, Jeff Roth came up three spots short with a 6th place finish while Joe Godsey posted an 7th place outing.
