Lucas Oil tripleheader brings Roth Motorsports to Brownstown
Thursday found both Roth Motorsports pilots in action Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) for the Indiana Icebreaker rescheduled from March 20. With preliminary events from earlier in the year relegating both drivers into the B-Main, Jeff Roth recorded a sixth-place finish while Joe Godsey streaked to a 10-lap consolation victory. On Friday for the Night Before the Jackson, Joe placed seventh in his heat while Jeff trailed him in ninth. Needing to place third or better in their B-Main, Godsey finished eighth while Roth crossed the line in 10th.
For the 42nd annual Jackson 100 on Saturday, Godsey followed up a sixth-place finish in his heat with a fifth-place finish in his B-Main, ending his weekend. Roth’s eighth-place finish in his heat transferred him into the B-Main for one final shot at the $20,000-to-win finale. Locking in the top three, Jeff recorded an eighth-place outing.
