DIRTcar Summer Nationals continues for Roth Motorsports

Joe received the pole for the feature in the redraw after he clocked in fastest in his group and won his heat. Hanging onto a Top-10 finish, Godsey scored a ninth-place outing in the 40-lapper. Jeff followed up an eighth-to-fifth showing in his heat with a 19th-place outing in the A-Main.
In a field of 34 cars on Thursday at Shadyhill Speedway (Medaryville, Ind.), Godsey outran Brian Shirley in his heat to pick up the win while Roth came from the third row in his heat to finish third. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Joe raced to a fourth-place finish in the 40-lap affair while Roth retired on lap 24.
With Mother Nature winning at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) on Friday, the team headed to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) on Saturday for the annual Birthday Race. Battling for a $10,000 payday in the feature, Godsey raced to a 10th-place finish while Roth retired on lap 4.
Wet weather axed Sunday’s contest at Wayne County Speedway (Orrville, Ohio).
